Self-Directed Learning
           A process in which students take the initiative to diagnose their learning needs, formulate learning goals, identify resources for learning, select and implement learning strategies and evaluate learning outcomes. The role of the instructor shifts from being the 'sage on the stage' to the 'guide on the side' in a self-directed learning environment.

OPJIT Intranet
          We already do have and will continue to grow our reservoir of knowledge and information on the Intranet. We have a very sophisticated but stable, scalable, secure and very efficient online knowledge bank which facilitate the learning and information sharing. A student need not waste time on searching the relevant study material. He is able to focus on the contents rather than spend time looking for it. It contains previous year question papers, syllabus, typical exercises, class notes, relevant study materials and lot more stuff to facilitate learning. Everything is organized into a very user friendly fashion.

Proctorial System
          Every student in the college is attached to a faculty advisor (Proctor) who advises the students in all academic / personal matters and counsels. Students report to their faculty advisors every week and discuss their queries/problems. This helps the students to build in them a sense of confidence in all their activities and the proctor ensures that everything goes smooth.

Rigorous Teaching and Grooming
          We have a team of dedicated intellectuals who create the perfect training environment for budding professionals. The team is unparallel and excellent in subject knowledge, communication skills and is always ready to help students.

Practical Industry-Oriented Teaching.
          We have a team of technical experts consists of the great learned people across the globe. Apart from regular teaching, stress is on overall development. We just don’t want to create the engineers rather we aim to create the industry ready professional, which are readily acceptable by the industry and can contribute to the success & growth of the industry, society and nation.

Remedial Personality Development Program
           The Institute will administer a diagnostic test to assess the new student’s ability to use the English language effectively and various other tests to assess the personality and attitude. Those that are found to lack the minimum required proficiency will be paid special attention to improve in due course of time. Weekly Seminars and Guest Lectures are arranged with outside faculty and experts from industries and academic to help in the overall development of each individual.

Tutoring
          It’s a concept to provide help to students by instruction outside of class. Advanced students work with individuals or small groups to increase their understanding of the concepts. Concept of peer tutoring is to be implemented wherein a student of higher caliber helps and guides another student to accelerate the studies. It is greatly beneficial for both the students and in turn for each individual.

Popup-quiz
          It’s a quiz that the teacher has not previously informed the students about. It evaluates the students in real time and forces them to be up to date and always ready for evaluation. It’s very effective in the sense that it inculcates the habit of continuous and real time learning.
